What Is The Pinto Stampede?

A dream envisioned by Norm and Louise Bagi. The Pinto Stampede and the Pinto Car Club of America joined forces in 2011 to coral Ford Pinto owners across America. The goal was to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our beloved little pony the Ford Pinto with a drive across America.

Recap: The 2011 Pinto Stampede
The Pinto Stampede started in Denver, Colorado on May 29th, 2011 and finished in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on June 2nd, 2011. At our final stop Carlisle Events hosted the Carlisle Ford Nationals June 3rd, 4th & 5th, 2011 and helped us Celebrate the birth of the Pinto with a special 40th anniversary display.

Recap: The 2012 Pinto Stampede
The 2012 Pinto Stampede Started Thursday May 17th, 2012 in Ridgeway, Virginia and finished at the Summit Point Motorsports Park on Saturday May 19th, 2012 Stops on the 2012 Pinto Stampede included Wood Brothers Racing in Stuart, VA - Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia - National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, VA - The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport and Saturday and Sunday, May 19th & 20th, 2012 found us at the Summit Point Motorsports Park for some vintage racing.

Recap: The 2013 Pinto Stampede
The 2013 Pinto Stampede started at Bullet Stop Gun Shop in Loves Park, Illinois. Jim Madison, fellow stampeder and owner of the Bullet Stop, hosted a BBQ Party to start things off right. The 2013 Pinto Stampede ran over three days from Thursday, August 1st thru Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 ending in Memphis, Tennessee. We drove alongside the Mighty Mississippi River and enjoyed the sites along one of the most beautiful drives this great country has to offer.

Recap: The 2014 Pinto Stampede
The Pinto Stampede hit the road again in 2014! and this year the Pinto Stampede headed to the Ford Product Development Center Employee Truck and Car Show on Friday, July 18, 2014 in Dearborn, MI Each year Ford hosts an employee car show where they can show off their personal rides. The inventory at the show heavily favors Ford products but there has always been an impressive variety of Brand X vehicles, too. Just to make things interesting there have been some invitees from outside as well. This year the Pinto Stampede got an invite! Along with the other events over the weekend the Pintos went to Hell and Back, Hell Michigan that is.

Recap: The 2015 Pinto Stampede
The Pinto Stampede hit the road again in 2015 and traveled the scenic back roads of Kentucky starting in Elizabethtown, KY on July 29th and arriving in Springfield, Illinois on Friday, July 31st, 2015 Once in Sprinfield, Illinois the Pinto Stampede participated in the Powerlight Supercruise on Friday night. Saturday morning we stampeded to the Powerlight Abe Lincoln Car Show at Knight's Action Park.

Recap: The 2016 Pinto Stampede
We drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway, America's favorite drive. A beautiful and scenic drive on up to the Ford Nationals at Carlisle PA where we celebrated the 45th anniversary of the Pinto. On June 1st we started in Little Switzerland, North Carolina which sits on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the top of the Diamond back.
